| The research aims at making the exploration on the relationship among the sense of life meaning of college students,adult attachment and self-compassion,which also tries to verify the mediating role of self-compassion between adult attachment and sense of life meaning.Besides,whether individual psychological interventions based on narrative therapy can effectively improve the level of self-compassion and sense of life meaning of college students will be explored,so the foundation can be laid for more research work.In this research,the revised version of the Life Meaning Scale,the Intimate Relationship Experience Scale,and the Self-compassion Scale are used to conduct convenient sampling surveys in vocational colleges such as Guangdong Lingnan Vocational and Technical College and Qingyuan Polytechnic in Guangdong.Finally,853 valid questionnaires are acquired,and the conclusions are drawn as follows after statistical analysis:(1)For the score of 43.37 ± 12.54 as college students’ sense of life meaning,the significant individual differences are shown.No significant difference in the sense of life meaning among junior college students is shown in terms of gender,whether they are the only child or not,different places of registered residence,family’s economic conditions and class cadres.The lower sense of life meaning in junior college students is shown than that of freshmen and sophomores.The overall score of literature and history majors is significantly higher than that of science and engineering majors,while the significantly higher overall score of sense of life meaning in other majors is shown than that of science and engineering majors.In contrast with that of college students without love experience,college students with love experience have significantly higher levels of sense of meaning and pursuit of meaning.In contrast with those who are not satisfied with their current interpersonal relationships,college students satisfied with their current interpersonal relationships have significantly higher scores in terms of having meaning,pursuing meaning,and overall sense of life meaning.(2)A significant pairwise correlation between college students’ sense of life meaning and adult attachment and self-compassion is presented,in which a significant negative correlation between attachment avoidance and attachment anxiety,the total score and dimensions of self-compassion,as well as the total score and dimensions of sense of life meaning is shown.A significant positive correlation between the total score of self-compassion and its dimensions,as well as the total score of sense of life meaning and its dimensions is indicated.Adult attachment among college students can negatively predict self-compassion and sense of life meaning,while self--compassion can positively predict sense of life meaning.All dimensions of adult attachment can negatively predict self--compassion.(3)Self-compassion plays a partial mediating role between adult attachment and sense of life meaning.(4)In line with case studies,the narrative-oriented psychological intervention is indicated to have the possibility in effectively enhancing college students’ level of self-compassion,so the sense of life meaning is enhanced.On the basis of investigating college students’ sense of life meaning,the relationship among sense of life meaning,adult attachment,and self-compassion is examined.Under the guidance of the theory and technology of narrative therapy,case interventions are carried out.In accordance with the results,the narrative-oriented individual psychological intervention is indicated to have the possibility in playing an effective role in enhancing the level of self-compassion and sense of life meaning,and the reference path is provided for the subsequent improvement of college students’ sense of life meaning level. |
