International Chinese teachers play an important role in the world.They have made important contributions in promoting the Chinese language and Chinese culture,enhancing the friendship between Chinese and foreign people,and promoting international cultural exchanges and cooperation.The nature of the work of international Chinese teachers is special,which causes international Chinese teachers to pay a lot of emotional labor in addition to mental and physical labor.In today’s globalization of the spread of Chinese,the research on the emotional labor of international Chinese teachers cannot be ignored.This study conducted a survey of the emotional labor status of qualified international Chinese teachers through emotional scale questionnaires and interviews.The results of the survey showed that international Chinese teachers belonged to a group of high emotional labor,and their emotional labor was significantly different in terms of gender,age,teaching experience,education and job titles.There are differences in factors such as teaching periods.Through the analysis of the emotional labor data of the international Chinese teachers who participated in the test,this study found the following problems:international Chinese teachers have a high emotional labor perception,shallow acting is the most frequently used emotional labor strategy,so international Chinese teachers.Focusing on individual international Chinese teachers,male international Chinese teachers have a lower ratio of deep acting,and there are differences in emotional labor strategies among international Chinese teachers with different teaching ages.Based on the analysis of the above phenomena,it can be found that the reasons affecting the emotional labor of international Chinese teachers include: Personally speaking,international Chinese teachers have low professional quality,insufficient emotional intelligence,and low professional identity of international Chinese teachers;from the perspective of the nature of work,Including the particularity of the service object and the cross-cultural working environment;finally,it is the reason of the organizational environment.The selection mechanism and training process of international Chinese teachers neglect the inspection and training of emotional labor ability.In order to improve the status quo of emotional labor among international Chinese teachers,this paper proposes the following strategies: From the perspective of individual international Chinese teachers,improve personal professionalism,focus on improving their own emotional intelligence,establish a good teacher-student relationship,and improve professional identity;From a social perspective,improve the emotional labor training of international Chinese teachers and introduce the assessment of emotional labor-related knowledge in the entry threshold for international Chinese teachers;from a social perspective,improve the recognition of international Chinese teachers. |
