A Study Of OuyangShoudao’s Prose

Ouyang Shoudao lived in the Southern Song Dynasty during the reigns of Ningzong,Rizong,and Duzong,when society was in turmoil and the court was increasingly corrupt.Ouyang Shoudao was a famous rationalist and educator of his time,who was concerned with reality and sympathized with the hardships of the people,and made factual records of the problems existing in the society at that time.Ouyang Shoudao had a close relationship with famous Confucians such as Jiang Wanli and Baohui.The rich life experience and the way of intercourse in the net format influenced Ouyang Shoudao’s human attitude and personality cultivation.Ouyang Shoudao’s unique cultivation of literary temperament and educational philosophy influenced the words and deeds of his disciples.His ideas of science,poetry and education had a significant and far-reaching impact on both his time and future generations.Since his childhood,Ouyang Shoudao was familiar with scriptures and history,and read a lot of books,and wrote a lot during his life,including "Xunzhai Wenji" and "Yiji".Among them,Xunzhai Wenji survives more than two hundred and seventy articles,and Yiji has been lost.Ouyang Shoudao’s articles have a unique charm in terms of ideological content and artistic qualities,reflecting the author’s unique aesthetic orientation and value pursuit.At the same time,Ouyang Shoudao’s identity as a scholar and educator has played a very important role in leading the style of learning and innovation in education,influencing generations of people.Based on the prose of Ouyang Shoudao,this paper takes the prose of Ouyang Shoudao included in Quan Song Wen and Xunzhai Wenji as the main documentary basis,analyzes the existing research results on Ouyang Shoudao,and studies Ouyang Shoudao’s prose from the development of Song Dynasty prose,using three research methods: documentary research method,literature-history combination method,and inductive analysis method.First,the materials related to Ouyang Shoudao are collected.Secondly,after analyzing the background of Ouyang Shoudao’s prose,the content,artistic qualities,value and influence of Ouyang Shoudao’s prose are explored in depth.In this way,we seek to understand the overall style of Ouyang Shoudao’s prose in a comprehensive and objective manner.The study is divided into the following parts: First,it analyzes the diverse backgrounds of Ouyang Shoudao’s prose,including the influence of Ouyang Shoudao’s life experiences,the influence of his hometown,and the development of Song Dynasty prose on Ouyang Shoudao’s prose creation;second,it explores the ideological content of Ouyang Shoudao’s prose,exploring his prose’s description of social phenomena and concern for reality at the time,his interpretation of the doctrine of righteousness,his views on poetry and composition,and his pursuit of noble qualities.Third,the artistic qualities of Ouyang Shoudao’s prose are examined,and the artistic charm of Ouyang Shoudao’s prose in terms of thematic intention,use of allusions,broad discussion,and language art is analyzed in detail.
