A Study On The Reception Of Ouyang Xiu's Prose On The Records Of The Grand Historia

Ouyang Xiu was a leading figure in the poetry and prose reform movement of the Northern Song Dynasty.He made great achievements in his writings,especially in his prose.His prose closely followed the ancient prose of the Tang Dynasty and was deeply influenced by the Historical Records.Ouyang Xiu’s prose is rich in variety,including political treatises,historical treatises,postscripts and biographies,etc.with rich content and condescending style,fluent language and touching words,it effectively promoted the development of the ancient writing movement in the Song Dynasty and had a profound influence on the literature of later generations.The narrative art of Records of the Historian is very exquisite and Ouyang Xiu’s prose inherits the artistic technique of Records of the Historian.This paper mainly analyzes the narrative technique,character description technique and the learning and acceptance of language application.First,Ouyang Xiu learned the Historical Records of the condescending narrative techniques,the twists and turns of the article ingenious,graceful and colorful.Ouyang Xiu’s prose creation also inherited the method of seeing each other in Records of the Grand Historian,the narrative technique of general and minor discipline,the style of writing is simple and strict,the key points are prominent,and the theme is clear.Secondly,Ouyang Xiu’s prose inherits the character description technique of the Records of the Historian.He uses personalized oral language in his prose,which is more in line with the actual life of the characters and makes the article interesting.Ouyang Xiu’s prose also inherits the artistic characteristics of detail description in the Records of the Historian.He cleverly uses the details and structure of the text in the Records of the Historian to learn from the fine art of character shaping in the Records of the Historian,so as to show the spirit of the characters more vividly.Third,Ouyang Xiu’s prose learning of the Historical Records of the language art style,really inherited Sima Qian’s concise and concise style of writing.In addition,Ouyang attaches great importance to the use of function words in his prose creation,especially function words such as "while" "ye" and "Zhi" and interjections such as "whimhu".He attaches great importance to the condensed words to make the articles more emotive and meaningful.The Records of the Historian is rich in connotation,advocating virtuous governance,praising the faithful and criticizing the evil and injustice.Taishi Gong recorded the people’s livelihood and gave his works a critical function.Ouyang Xiu’s prose creation inherits the spirit of Records of the Historian,emphasizing the function of criticizing current problems,paying attention to people’s livelihood and economic development,and emphasizing the function of literary works serving realistic politics.Ouyang Xiu’s prose also inherits the tradition of lyricism and aspiration in Records of the Historian,which not only truly reproduces the social reality at that time,but also has a strong color of sadness.The prose is tortuous and changeable,feeling and crying,and expresses the resentment in the chest.Ouyang Xiu’s prose inherited the writing style and ideological feelings of Records of the Historian,and created many excellent prose works,which had a great influence on the literati students of later generations and had a positive literary effect.Finally,taking Yao Nai and Fang Bao as examples,this paper discusses Owen’s influence on Tongcheng School writers in Qing Dynasty.In combination with specific literary works,this paper further examines and analyzes the acceptance of artistic techniques,thoughts and emotions of Ouyang Xiu’s prose to the Records of the Historian,and discusses the influence of the resulting later generations.This study can not only fully excavate the connotation of Ouyang Xiu’s prose works,but also enrich the research content of the literary acceptance level of Records of the Historian.
