Sun Yu:Between Reality And Ideal

For a long time,the realistic concern of Sun Yu’s films is often linked with leftist films,and its romantic sentiment is attributed to the influence of Western romanticism to the east.However,both the theme content and style form of the films show more indigenous,period and authorial characteristic.From the standpoint of film nationality,this paper selects Sun Yu’s films as the research object and makes a systematic analysis of them by combining video materials and film historical materials.On the one hand,combining with the theory of Chinese classical poetry,this paper discusses the poetic expression and connotation of Sun Yu’s films,which means meaning with objects,meaning with scenes and meaning with people.On the other hand,from the perspective of Confucianism,this paper discusses the main meaning of its vertical continuation of the national ideological and cultural tradition,horizontal connection with the social trend of thought and display of The Times,analyzes the formation reasons and presentation ways of Sun Yu’s idealization and optimistic author style,and makes an overall grasp of his realistic creation position and romantic creation style.
