In today’s multimedia era,it is not surprising that more advanced modern technology has been applied to school classrooms.Thanks to the support of modern multimedia technology,English teachers’ teaching is more dynamic and lively.When most teachers focus on how to improve the quality and interest of the classroom through multimedia technology,plain blackboard writing naturally fades out of the eyes of teachers.As a result,there are countless classroom teaching designs that use multimedia technology to implement teaching in today’s schools.The position of traditional teaching means-blackboard writing in classroom teaching has been greatly impacted and challenged.Through questionnaire survey and classroom observation,it is found that students have a positive attitude towards blackboard writing and multimedia presentation teaching,but most English teachers’ blackboard writing is not satisfactory.Teachers prefer to use a great number of multimedia presentations to enhance the vitality of the classroom.However,on the one hand,these fancy teaching presentations are not conducive to guiding students to think deeply about the teaching content.On the other hand,English teachers also have many problems when using multimedia technology in teaching,such as excessive reliance on multimedia,low frequency of blackboard writing,random content of blackboard writing,single form of blackboard writing,etc.To solve the above problems,the author adopts the methods of literature research,questionnaire survey,classroom observation and other educational research methods.Combining with the curriculum standards of compulsory education and the practical needs of English teaching,the author puts forward the following two optimization strategies: First,it is necessary to promote both subjects of teaching and subjects of learning to participate in the design and thinking of blackboard writing actively.As far as the subject of teaching is concerned,schools should provide blackboard skills training,carry out blackboard skills assessment for teachers,and hold blackboard skills competitions.As for the main body of learning,teachers need to actively guide students to participate in blackboard interaction,guide students to learn the thinking of blackboard writing,and strengthen the impression of the content of blackboard writing.Secondly,English teachers should use blackboard writing and multimedia technology according to different teaching contents.The convenience of using multimedia technology in teaching is well known,but the frequent use of multimedia technology in the classroom is easy to reverse the extreme,and the use of classroom blackboard can achieve a balance.
