Research objective: Jive dance dance movement is difficult,and the physical requirements are higher.Because children’s attention cannot long focus on the psychological characteristics and muscle development and the development of the weak physiological characteristics,regular Jive dance class single repetitive movement practice,not well stimulate children’s learning interest,also can’t fully develop children’s physical ability,so not very good learning effect.Through the prop teaching experiment,this paper discusses whether the use of props in children’s Jive dance teaching has the improvement effect of students’ learning interest,movement completion quality,physical quality,special technology and other aspects,and promotes the popularization and development of prop teaching method in children’s Jive dance teaching in practice.Research method: This paper mainly uses the literature data method,expert interview method,questionnaire survey method,teaching experiment method,mathematical statistics method,logic analysis method.On the basis of consulting literature and data,combined with the content of expert interviews,the selection and determination of basic step indicators,physical quality indicators and special technical indicators of Jive dance were conducted,so as to provide a theoretical basis for the accuracy and effectiveness of the paper.The teaching experiment method was used to conduct a control experiment with 40 students from the Latin dance intermediate class of Baicheng Art School in Jinan High-tech Zone.The experimental group used props to teach,while the control group did not use props.The collected data were analyzed using SPSS software,combined with the results of the questionnaire survey to draw the final conclusion.Research results:1.Quality comparison of the basic steps of Jive dance: the quality score of the five basic steps of Jive dance in the experimental group was higher than that of the control group.2.Results of physical fitness index: the experimental group and the control group in 1 minute P=0.019,1 minute skipping P=0.09,50 m 8 round-trip P=0.08,the P values of these three indicators were <0.05,which showed significant differences,and the experiment was significantly better than the control group.P=0.080(> 0.05),no significant difference.3.Special technical indicators: the rhythmic performance of the experimental group and the control group P=0.026,footwork technique P=0.04,time value and basic rhythm P=0.023,the P value of the three scoring indicators were <0.05,and the experimental group was significantly better than the control group.Dance style P=0.207,body line P=0.098,both indicators P> 0.05 without significant difference.4.Evaluation of prop teaching process: the questionnaire data shows that 80% of teachers believe that using props for Jive dance teaching can improve the teaching effect;85% of experimental group students are interested in learning Jive dance,and50% of control group students are interested in learning Jive dance.Research conclusion:1.By comparing the quality of students ’basic steps: using props to provide targeted auxiliary training on students’ movements can improve the quality of students’ movements and improve the teaching effect.2.The analysis of the results of physical fitness indicators showed that the experimental group used wave speedball,elastic belt and weight belt,and the improvement of its core strength and lower limb strength was significantly better than that of the control group,which provided a basis for improving the completion quality of Jive dance movements.3.The analysis of the results of special technical scoring indicators shows that the systematic application of props such as weight belt,elastic belt,wave speedball,body stick,yoga brick and so on can improve the rhythm expression,footwork skills,time value and basic rhythm of students ’Jive dance movements,improve students’ competitive ability,and improve the teaching effect of Jive dance.4.The use of props in the teaching process of Jive dance includes: enriching the teaching methods,improving the teaching effect;improving the classroom atmosphere and stimulating students’ interest.
