The teaching of Chinese characters for foreign students is a very important part of the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language.The large number of Chinese characters,the complex shape and structure of Chinese characters are unique block characters,and these characteristics determine the teaching of Chinese characters is both the focus and the difficulty.At present,there are few teaching methods of Chinese characters,and relevant scholars have been exploring new and effective teaching methods of Chinese characters.The existing teaching methods of Chinese characters cannot meet the needs of taking into account the teaching of Chinese characters’ shape,pronunciation,meaning and culture.Therefore,some scholars propose to use the source method for teaching Chinese characters to foreign students,which takes Chinese characters’ shape as the core.By tracing the original shape of Chinese characters,the connection between Chinese characters and real life scenes can be established to help learners understand the structure and meaning of Chinese characters more intuitively.This paper tries to apply the source method to the teaching of Chinese characters for foreign students.The whole paper is divided into five chapters: the first is the introduction,which explains the reason and significance of the topic,introduces the related research results of the source method,analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of other Chinese character teaching methods,and explains the feasibility of applying the source method to the teaching of Chinese characters for foreign students.In the first chapter,statistical classification of Chinese characters in the teaching section of Chinese characters in HSK Standard Course 1-3 is carried out.Based on the "Six books" theory in the Chinese character formation method,some representative Chinese characters are selected for the classification source word meaning analysis.The second chapter designs a questionnaire to understand the application of the source method in the teaching of Chinese characters to foreign countries.The third chapter,based on the textbook of HSK Standard Course 1-3,carries out the teaching design of Chinese characters in the textbook according to the four categories of pictographic characters,indicative characters,imitative characters and phonetic characters.The fourth chapter carries out teaching experiment according to the teaching design mentioned above,and makes teaching reflection according to the actual teaching feedback.The fifth chapter puts forward the corresponding teaching suggestions on the application of character source method in the teaching of foreign Chinese characters.Finally,the conclusion summarizes the thesis and points out the shortcomings of this thesis. |
