| This article takes "intonation pattern" as the research perspective and uses the method of acoustic experiments to conduct comparative analysis on the intonation acquisition of Chinese polar questions by intermediate and advanced Vietnamese students, with the intonation features of Chinese native speakers as a reference. The study found that:1.From the perspective of pitch:(1)Vietnamese students have mastered the characteristic of rising pitch in Chinese polar questions, but have not grasped the feature of the pitch of words falling and preparing for the maximization of the final tone in the sentence.(2)Vietnamese students have not accurately grasped the feature of the falling pitch of the sentence-final particle "ma" in Chinese polar questions.(3)Vietnamese students have basically mastered the feature of the falling pitch of the sentence-final particle "ba" in Chinese polar questions.2.From the perspective of duration:Vietnamese students have mastered the feature of lengthening the syllable before the boundary of each prosodic word in Chinese polar questions,"ma" and"ba" polar questions, but have not fully grasped the pause lengthening rules of other syllables.3.From the perspective of intensity:(1)Vietnamese students have mastered the feature of increasing the volume before the boundary of each prosodic word in Chinese polar questions, but have not yet grasped the position of the minimum volume.(2)Vietnamese students have not yet grasped the rule of volume increase before the prosodic word boundary in "ma" polar questions, and the positions of the maximum and minimum volume are unstable.(3)Vietnamese students are prone to making errors in the volume enhancement of the sentence-final particle "ba" in Chinese polar questions.Corresponding teaching strategies and designs are proposed for the errors and causes of Vietnamese students’ intonation acquisition. |
