There were many famous regular script writers in the Tang Dynasty.Calligraphers represented by Ouyang Xun,Chu Suiliang and Yan Zhenqing created many excellent regular script works.Ouyang Xun’s son Ouyang Tong,on the basis of inheriting his father’s European style,combined with his personal style,formed a unique style of "Little Europe".However,his achievements in the history of calligraphy were overshadowed by the influence of his father Ouyang Xun.Until today,Ouyang Tong’s style of writing is active again,which enriches the face of regular script creation in the contemporary literary circle.This paper focuses on Ouyang Tong’s two regular script works,analyzes their stylistic features and the application of Ouyang Tong’s calligraphy style in later regular script creation,so as to provide guidance for personal calligraphy practice.This paper discusses from four parts.Firstly,through sorting out the information about Ouyang Tong’s life experience recorded in historical materials,it analyzes the reasons for the formation of Ouyang Tong’s calligraphy style.Secondly,it analyzes the specific style characteristics of Ouyang Tong’s two works handed down from generation to generation.Then the author combs the calligraphy works created by Ouyang Tong style in the past dynasties and sums up the inspiration of Ouyang Tong style to personal creation.Finally,it focuses on personal calligraphy practice,including preparation in the early stage,creation process and reflection and summary in the late stage.At the same time of combing and studying the related theories of Ouyang Tong’s calligraphy style,the author applies Ouyang Tong’s calligraphy style to the creation practice. |
