Research On Chinese Cultural Diplomacy To Vietnam In The New Era

Since the 18 th CPC National Congress,socialism with Chinese characteristics has entered a new era.Looking back at the decade of great changes in the new era,China has gradually taken center stage on the world stage.As an important neighboring country of China,Vietnam and China are both socialist countries with similar political systems and development paths.Both share a time-honored cultural history,revolutionary friendship of "comrades plus brothers" and increasingly close economic and trade relations.As a more flexible,gradual and permanent diplomatic approach,cultural diplomacy is more acceptable to the other side with its unique charm,which can better spread Chinese culture and establish a friendly image.Since the new era,China’s cultural diplomacy with Vietnam has been developing continuously,becoming an important part of China-Vietnam relations.With the new era of socialism with Chinese characteristics as the research background,this paper adopts the method of literature analysis,induction and summary and questionnaire survey to study China’s cultural diplomacy with Vietnam,which mainly includes the following four parts.The first part is related theory explanation.After the theoretical explanation of cultural diplomacy,it further discusses the Chinese cultural diplomacy in the new era,and its theoretical source and target are with distinct Chinese characteristics.This part aims to lay a theoretical foundation for the following analysis of China’s cultural diplomacy to Vietnam in the new era.The second part,motivation and background analysis.It is simply a historical review of China’s cultural diplomacy to Vietnam before the New era.This paper analyzes the motivation of China’s cultural diplomacy to Vietnam in the new era by combining the perspectives of overall structure and unit function.Explore the background of China’s cultural diplomacy to Vietnam in the new era.China and Vietnam not only have the positive factors of geographical proximity,cultural affinity,economic connectivity and people affinity,but also have two negative factors left over from history and existing reality that need to be overcome.The third part,practice and its characteristics,effect analysis.According to the definition of cultural diplomacy,this paper collects and sorts out the specific practices of China’s cultural diplomacy to Vietnam in the new era and summarizes its characteristics.According to the goal of Chinese cultural diplomacy in the new era,the evaluation index is set,and the questionnaire is adopted to set questions from the understanding degree of Chinese culture,the favorable degree of Chinese culture,the influence of Chinese culture,the attraction of China and the national image,hoping to evaluate its practical effect to a certain extent.The fourth part,influence,challenge and thinking.In the new era,China’s cultural diplomacy to Vietnam promotes the development of economic and trade relations and political relations between the two countries,and effectively promotes people-to-people exchanges.However,there are still challenges that cannot be ignored.In view of these challenges and deficiencies,the author believes that efforts can be made in the future from four aspects: improving the mechanism,in-depth understanding of the target country,promoting the culture of The Times and strengthening the talent strategy.This study carries out a systematic discussion on China’s cultural diplomacy to Vietnam in the new era.On the one hand,it takes Vietnam as a specific example to confirm the advantages of cultural diplomacy with Chinese characteristics in the new era and enrich the connotation of Chinese cultural diplomacy in the new era.On the other hand,it sees the necessity and direction of China’s efforts to adopt cultural diplomacy towards Vietnam in the future,and also provides reference for China to develop cultural diplomacy towards other Southeast Asian countries.It is hoped that this study can help us have a more objective and clear understanding of China’s cultural diplomacy towards Vietnam in the new era,and bring some academic reference value.
