Research On The Internal Economic Connection Network And Influencing Factors Of Hexi Corridor Urban Agglomeration

The healthy development of urban agglomerations requires a rational and clear internal division of labor.Close and orderly economic connections are conducive to urban agglomerations to exert their overall competitive advantages,promote the flow of factors between regions,play a leading role in regional development,and form a complementary and high-quality development.Regional economic layout.The in-depth development of economic globalization has brought changes to the pattern of international production organizations.Countries’ participation in the international division of labor has shifted from industry to product,and the regional economy has become networked.The Hexi Corridor is located in the fortress in the northwest of my country.It has a prominent ecological position and profound cultural heritage.It is a strategic channel for transportation,energy,telecommunications,and logistics in my country and an important section of the “Belt and Road” construction.In the context of ecological protection and high-quality development in the Yellow River Basin,the construction and improvement of the internal economic network of the urban agglomeration is of great significance for enhancing the economic connectivity of cities in the Hexi Corridor,building enterprise contact networks,diversifying business risks,and cultivating advanced manufacturing clusters.This study takes 5 prefecture-level cities and 20 counties and districts in the Hexi Corridor urban agglomeration as the research objects.Based on the perspective of functional connection and spatial connection,with the help of the urban flow model,it analyzes the advantageous industries of each city and builds the functional connection network within the urban agglomeration.The revised gravity model and social network analysis method,based on the data of three time sections in 2000,2010,and 2019,quantitatively analyzed the economic connection strength and economic connection network structure within the urban agglomeration;finally,the QAP regression analysis method was used to analyze the urban agglomeration.This paper analyzes the influencing factors of the economic connection network within the agglomeration,and puts forward suggestions for improving the economic connection network according to related issues,and comprehensively measures the economic connection within the urban agglomeration.The result is as follows:(1)The location quotient of the urban agglomeration in the Hexi Corridor is generally low,and the overall agglomeration and radiation driving capabilities of the urban agglomeration are weak.In the functional connection network of urban agglomerations,the primary industry is dominated by the advantageous connections of Jiuquan,Zhangye and Jinchang,the secondary industry is dominated by the advantageous flow between Jiuquan and Jiayuguan,followed by Jiayuguan and Jinchang;the tertiary industry is formed by Jiayuguan-Jiuquan as the lead,Jiuquan-Zhangye-Jinchuan-Wuwei as the backbone axis of the superior flow interactive network(2)From 2000 to 2019,the comprehensive economic strength of the counties and districts of the Hexi Corridor urban agglomeration increased by multiples,and the economic development level of the urban agglomeration showed a clear hierarchical gap.The quality is always stable in the top five.The amount of economic connections between cities has increased significantly,and the spatial economic connections within urban agglomerations have gradually become denser,forming a network structure of“one main,three sub-multiple nodes” with multi-node linkage development.The spatial distribution trend of the economic core area of the urban agglomeration basically coincides with the main traffic lines,showing the characteristic of a bead-like combination,and the connection density between the core area and the peripheral area is quite different,and the driving effect on the peripheral area is limited.(3)In the research on the influencing factors of the economic connection network within the urban agglomeration,the differences in labor scale,investment level,tertiary industry structure,and openness are positively correlated with the economic connection,and the economic openness has the most significant impact on the economic connection network of the Hexi Corridor.,the difference in labor wages has no significant impact,and the difference in the structure of the secondary industry is negatively correlated with the group-like economic connection network.
