Oral English teaching is an important part of English teaching in senior primary schools.With the implementation of the new curriculum standards,the demand for English teaching is increasing,and the cultivation of students’ interest in learning is attracting people’s attention.The application of game teaching method in English classroom can cultivate students’ interest in learning,set up students’ confidence,and inject fresh vitality into English teaching,which is in line with the requirements of new curriculum standards.Primary school is the golden age of English learning,so it is very important to improve the oral English level of senior primary school students.However,English Teaching in China tends to learn language knowledge,especially grammar and reading,and ignores the training of students’ interest and oral ability.In the current primary school English teaching,there are many problems in oral English teaching.This study aims to analyze the application of game teaching method in primary school English classes,find out the problems existing in the application of game pedagogy,and propose corresponding solutions,to help the first primary school English teachers more to solve some of the confusion encountered in the game teaching.This study took three primary schools in Dancheng as samples,and took the fifth and sixth grade English teachers and students as the research objects,using questionnaires,classroom observations,case analysis,interviews and other methods to investigate the game teaching method in primary school oral English teaching.application situation.Through the investigation,it is found that the game teaching method has problems in game design,game participation process,and game resources in the teaching of oral English in the upper primary school.The design does not match the teaching content,and the setting of teaching goals is not clear;in terms of game participation,students have low participation,lack of students’ ability to express,students’ classroom discipline is poor,and teaching evaluation is single;in terms of game resources,there is a lack of game resources and a lack of oral environment.,and analyzed the reasons for these problems.To use the game teaching in oral English teaching of these problems,according to the related theory,this study case and combining the classroom observation,from the three aspects of the proposed strategy: has raise the level of teachers’ specialization in game design,innovative game type,combined with the teaching content clear game theme,effective design teaching goal;In the process of game participation,we pay attention to all students,improve students’ participation,strengthen oral practice,strengthen the control of classroom discipline,improve teachers’ understanding of evaluation;In terms of game resources,I have strengthened teaching and research,developed game resources and created a good oral environment.
