| As new curriculum reform in primary English continues to make progress,English has already been taught in the third grade,not in the fifth grade like the past.Under the guideline of modern education,we should pay attention to improving students’ comprehensive language ability and interest in primary English teaching.Thus game teaching method,proposed nowadays,points out that games should be integrated into teaching methods flexibly and by this way students can be free from the boredom of traditional English learning mode.At present,this method has gained gradual popularization in primary English teaching.In fact,it does not play an effective role,partly because teachers lack the ability to set up games and there is little interaction between teachers and students in class.Therefore,this article mainly focuses on how to use this method properly and how to improve application value of it.The object of this research is K primary school in H County.With the way of observing the performance in class,interviewing relevant teachers and taking questionnaire survey,the author tries to find the problems in application of game teaching method,explore the reasons and put forward specific countermeasures,so as to present the actual application of this method in primary English teaching.This article is divided into four parts.The first part is the introduction.Including the origin of the research,the definition of core concepts and a review of domestic and foreign research,the theoretical and practical significance of the research,research ideas and methods.The second part is the investigation of the application of game teaching method in primary school English teaching.Taking the English classroom of K elementary school in H County as the research object,Using questionnaire survey,teacher interview and classroom observation,presents the application status of game teaching method in K primary school.The third part is the analysis of the problems of game teaching method in primary school English teaching and the reasons.To K H county primary school English classroom research status quo of application of game teaching method as the foundation,summarize K primary problems arising from application of game teaching method,including teachers’ game teaching literacy ability is not in place,teachers in classroom management implementation is not perfect and imperfect game teaching effect assessment highlights,and analyses the reasons on the above questions.The fourth part is the research on the coping strategies of game teaching method in primary school English teaching.Using the results of previous investigations,observations,and interviews as theoretical support,in view of the problems and reasons in the practical application of game teaching methods,we propose solutions from three dimensions: The first is to improve teachers’ professional quality and ability in game teaching;The second is to improve the classroom management in the implementation of teachers’ game teaching;The third is to pay attention to the evaluation of game teaching effect.It is hoped that the above strategies can promote the development of game teaching method and guide teachers to better use game teaching method in primary school English classroom. |
