A Research On Music Education In Modern Jiujiang Private Tongwen And Confucian Girls’ Middle Schools

At the end of the Qing Dynasty,missionaries set up a private Tongwen middle School and Ruli Girls Middle School in Jiujiang.In the process of continuous development,it was merged into "Xunyang Middle School" and "Tongwen Middle School" successively in 1951-1952.The music education of these two missionary schools can be said to be a highlight of modern Jiujiang music education.In modern Jiujiang education system,the position is extremely important.Therefore,the author chooses the education of western churches introduced into Jiujiang as the background,discusses the general situation of music education of these two church schools in detail,and understands the general direction of modern Jiujiang music education from the side.Through detailed analysis of the music education system,music teaching content,teachers and other aspects of these two church schools,the characteristics of modern Jiujiang music education are understood,and finally the theoretical system of modern Jiujiang music education is more perfect for scholars at home and abroad.The text is divided into four chapters.The first chapter combs the social background of Jiujiang music education in modern times,taking political conditions,economic development,ideology and culture as the historical background of the research.The second chapter elaborates the real situation of music teaching at that time from four aspects: private Tongwen,the development of Ruli Girls’ Middle School,music education system,music teaching teachers and music teaching environment.The third chapter is based on the general situation of music teaching in the private Tongwen and Ruli Girls Middle schools,through the analysis of the characteristics of music education in these two church schools.The fourth chapter discusses the historical significance of music education in Jiujiang in modern times and its influence on contemporary music education in two aspects: private Tongwen and Ruli Middle School.The conclusion affirms the great significance of private music education in the same language and Confucian encouragement,and promotes the development of modern Jiujiang music education.
