Social robots are one kind of products of the development of AI era.Computer As Social Actors paradigm(CASA)holds that the interaction pattern between human beings and artificial intelligence products is similar to that between human beings.Social robots have human-like appearance, perception and psychological characteristics, which make them have more advantages than computers in interacting with children. Therefore, social robots are widely used in children’s life.for children,it is a new kind of informant.Children’s cognition of informants will affect children’s selective trust in them. Therefore, children’s ontological cognition(mechanical or biological),warmth and competence cognition of social robots may affect children’s selective trust in social robots, and social interaction can show the animacy, warmth and competence, perception and psychological characteristics of social robots,so it may also affect children’s selective trust in them. Therefore, this study aims to explore children’s animacy cognition, selective trust to social robots and their relationship, and explore how social interaction of social robots affects children’s animacy cognition, warmth and competence cognition and selective trust to social robots. In experiment 1,147 children aged 5-7 years old were randomly selected from a library in Nanchang City as subjects. In experiment 1a,the investigation method was adopted to explore the animacy cognition of children aged 5-7 years old on social robots, cartoon characters and adults from four dimensions of biology, psychology, perception and artificiality.Experiment 1a used the dual information source paradigm to explore the selective trust of children aged 5-7 in social robots, adults and cartoon characters in different knowledge domains.Experiment 1b randomly selected 937-year-old children as subjects from a primary school in Nanchang City to explore how social interaction affects children’s animacy cognition, warmth and competence cognition,as well as cross-domain selective trust in social robots. The results show that:(1)The animacy cognition of children to social robot is lower than that of cartoon characters and adults, and the animacy cognition of 5-7 year old children to social robot decreases with age;(2)Children trust in social robots more in mechanical and physical fields than other fields, and trust in adults more in cultural, biological and psychological fields;(3)The more children think the social robot has high animacy, the more they trust the social robot.Compared with the children who have a low vitality value of the social robot, the higher the animacy of the social robot, the more children choose to trust the social robot in the cultural, biological and psychological fields, and vice versa in the mechanical field;(4)Social interaction can increase 7-year-old children’s animacy cognition, warmth and competence cognition of social robot, and also increase 7-year-old children’s selective trust in social robot in cultural, psychological and physical fields.
