Research On Trust From The Perspective Of Social Virtue

The close relationship between trust and human beings is as indispensable as air to living things.There is an immense number of books Chinese and foreign scholars on trust research literature,which has formed a large number of important research results and various trust theories.As a social virtue,trust not only has important value for society,economy and politics,but also has important theoretical and practical value for the construction of a community with a shared future for mankind.Under the current background of economic transformation and social changes,the traditional trust model can no longer meet the requirements of social development,and a broader social trust mechanism is needed to adapt to the new development situation.However,crises of trust,large or small,have emerged in many areas of society,which need to be resolved urgently.This article is mainly divided into four parts.The first part takes the concept of trust as the starting point.After comparing several representative trust theories,we finally choose to define trust from the perspective of social virtues,claiming that trust is a social virtue.At the same time,we analyze several key characteristics of trust:uncertainty,risk,and variability.In the second part,we first use social intelligence to explain virtue,and then use virtue to explain trust,so as to further enrich the concept of trust as a social virtue.Secondly,we expound the advantages of trust as a social virtue over other classical theories from both theoretical and practical values.In addition,we also clarify its advantages in explaining the social,economic,and political value of trust.Ultimately,we believe that trust is a social virtue in the sense of a cultural concept.The cultivation of this virtue contributes to the harmonious development of society,economic prosperity and the healthy development of democratic systems.Based on the above theoretical research,the third part expounds the performance of the trust crisis.We first reveal the status quo of the trust crisis from the manifestations of the trust crisis in the economic,political,and ideological and cultural fields.On this basis,we analyze the causes of the trust crisis from three aspects: culture,politics,and economy.Based on the above analysis,in the fourth part,we try to solve the trust crisis encountered in various fields of society,and finally give a solution or suggestion to solve the trust crisis.The focus of our program is to promote the development of trust through the establishment of a community.It is mainly reflected in three dimensions: culture,politics and economy.We believe that we need to start with culture,politics,and economy separately to build a cultural community,a political community,and an economic community.The construction of a cultural community is achieved through cultural inheritance and identification and education and training.A political community is constructed by building a civil society、 a people’s democracy and a well-ordered society.An economic community is built through the establishment of economic networks and a good economic order.The development of trust levels is promoted through the establishment of the community.In short,as a cultural concept,trust is a social virtue that promotes the harmonious development of society,economic prosperity and the healthy development of democratic systems.From the perspective of social virtues,it not only helps us analyze the causes of the trust crisis,but also provides us with a realistic and feasible way to solve the trust crisis.We believe that with the joint efforts of all parties,the healthy development of trust will be achieved,and a social trust mechanism that adapts to the new situation will be established,thus contributing to the construction of a harmonious society and a community with a shared future for mankind.
