A Study Of Discourse Markers Of “X De Shuo”in Modern Chinese

In recent years,discourse markers have been paid more and more attention by the majority of scholars and gradually become one of the research hotspots.With its high frequency of use and unique pragmatic function,discourse markers “X de shuo” have become the research object of scholars.Previous studies on discourse markers “X de shuo” have a great inspiration to us.However,there are few systematic and comprehensive investigations on discourse markers “X de shuo” as the research object,and the digging of its semantics and stance expression functions is also not enough.On the basis of previous studies,this paper gives the criterion of “X de shuo”to analyze the location distribution,conjunction and co-occurrence of this kind of discourse markers,to deeply investigate its semantics and describe its pragmatic function in detail.The introduction introduces the research object and value of this paper,explains the research content,methods and corpus sources,and briefly reviews the previous research results on discourse markers,position expression and “X de shuo”.In Chapter one,four criteria of syntax,inner structure,phonology and semantics are used to judge “X de shuo” as discourse markers.The components and grammaticalization of discourse markers “X de shuo” are analyzed.Chapter Two investigates the location distribution and co-occurrence of discourse markers“X de shuo”.Chapter Three discusses the six semantic types.We analyze these six types of semantic functions,and on this basis,we study the boundary scope and orientation of discourse markers“X de shuo”,and give the subjective hierarchical sequence of discourse markers “X de shuo”.Chapter Four describes in detail the discourse organization and interpersonal functions of discourse markers “X de shuo”.The discourse organization functions of the discourse markers“X de shuo” include the function of turning the conversation round,and function of continuing the conversation round and the foreground of the discourse.The interpersonal functions include position expression function and interactive cognitive function.The conclusion part summarizes the main conclusions of this thesis.
