In recent years,with the strengthening of China’s comprehensive national power and the increasingly close exchanges and cooperation between countries around the world and China,foreigners are increasingly motivated to learn Chinese.And more and more colleges and universities have opened Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages major one after another.However,after checking the relevant information,it is found that the employment rate of Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages graduates is not high and the employment rate of counterparts is not high.Employment is the basis of people’s livelihood,and stable employment will lead to the stability of people’s livelihood and the wealth of the country.Facing the employment dilemma of Chinese international education graduates,we need to analyze the employment problem scientifically and find effective ways to promote employment.This paper takes the undergraduates who graduated from K University in Yunnan Province in the last three years(2019 to 2021)as the research object,and uses questionnaires,interviews and data analysis,as the main research methods to investigate and analyze the problems and influencing factors of the employment situation of the graduates of this major,and put forward suggestions to promote employment.The analysis of this paper finds that the main factors affecting employment are:small domestic and international job market;lack of regional and institutional characteristics in the training mode of training units,imperfect curriculum,disconnection between internship and study,and poorly targeted employment guidance;insufficient professional knowledge,lack of career planning,and weak comprehensive ability of students.In view of the problems found,this paper proposes corresponding solutions from the aspects of relevant departments,training units and individual students.The relevant management departments should improve the publicity of the profession and create a good job market environment.For the training units,they should give full play to the characteristics of institutions and regions,and adopt the mode of categorized training to cultivate complex and application-oriented talents to meet the needs of Chinese language learners in related countries and the needs of professional-related jobs.On the part of individual students,they should improve their comprehensive ability and perfect their personal career planning.We hope this paper can provide some reference for the talent cultivation of Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages majors. |
