The thought of Chinese women’s rights originated after the First Sino-Japanese war.At that time,China was in the process of nation-state construction, the discussion on human rights and women’s issues was increasing, and many factors pointing to the reform of women’s rights remained active. In 1902,Liang Qichao initiated the "novel Revolution",which brought about new changes in his novels and showed surging new ideas in his works.New novels reflecting social problems emerge in an endless stream, and women’s rights issues are also included in the scope of novels. The women’s rights novels in the late Qing Dynasty focus on the real female society, enlightened by foreign thoughts and shouted by intellectuals. They took the promotion of women’s liberation as their own duty, awakened women’s subjective consciousness with novels, and encouraged women to take the initiative to fight for rights. In the novel, the new female image becomes the symbol of national salvation, the new female imagination becomes the symbol of personality awakening, and they penetrate the expectation of the society for the new pattern and cultural construction. Therefore, the text of women’s rights in the period from1902 to 1911 is determined as the discussion material, and the thought of women’s rights in the novels of the late Qing Dynasty is analyzed, combined with the context of The Times reflected in the novels, the female rights in the novels are summarized, the construction path of women’s rights is analyzed, the social changes brought by the women’s liberation movement at that time is restored, and the value and limitation of this thought is reflected. It will provide more information for further research on the development of women’s rights in modern times. The first chapter examines why women’s rights novels come into being.A description of the historical and cultural context helps to understand why the change occurred. The second chapter analyzes the expression of women’s rights in the novel at that time, expounds the aspects from which women have the consciousness of rights, what kind of changes have taken place in these rights thoughts compared with the past, and what kind of characteristics have been presented. The third chapter analyzes the path of constructing the discourse of women’s rights in the novels of the late Qing Dynasty.Chapter four illustrates the social change under the influence of women’s rights novels.Chapter five reflects on women’s rights in novels of the late Qing Dynasty.Throughout the novels of the late Qing Dynasty, the thought of female rights is closely related to the social situation of the late Qing Dynasty. It has experienced the process of being dominated by men, from passive acceptance to active dissemination.Due to the conditions of The Times and many factors, the thought of women’s rights in the novels of the late Qing Dynasty is inevitably limited by history, and the works are inevitably colored with imagination, which is far from the identification of women’s identity in reality. In spite of this, the women’s rights novels in the late Qing Dynasty enlightened modern women, especially promoted the women’s novels in the May Fourth period to write for "human purpose",and stepped forward the awakening of personality rights, which has important enlightenment significance for thinking about the liberation of women’s rights in modern times.
