| He Zhizhang was a famous poet and calligrapher of the early Tang Dynasty.His cursive calligraphy,which was on a par with Zhang Xu’s,was an important transition to the development of cursive calligraphy in the early Tang Dynasty,but only the small cursive calligraphy "The Book of Filial Piety" has been handed down to this day.This paper is a study of He Zhizhang’s cursive script "The Book of Filial Piety",divided into four chapters: Chapter 1,a study of the causes of He Zhizhang’s calligraphic style.In the first chapter,the causes of He Zhizhang’s calligraphic style are examined,including his social background,his life,his travels and career experiences,and the influence of Confucianism and Taoism.In the third chapter,the author briefly introduces the characteristics of He Zhizhang’s cursive style,focusing on the appearance of He Zhizhang’s cursive script,and analyzes in depth the characteristics of the "Filial Piety Classic" in four aspects: brushwork,character formation,inking,and chapter style;in the fourth chapter,the author discusses the inspiration of his own calligraphy,including the insight of his creative philosophy,the exploration of his creation with the "Filial Piety Classic" as the mother text,and the reference and integration of other calligraphic texts.This paper intends to gain a comprehensive and in-depth understanding of He Zhizhang’s cursive art,and more importantly,to obtain some useful inspiration and reference for the author’s cursive creation,in the hope that it will help to improve the overall level of his own cursive creation in the future. |
