The Design And Expression Of Glitch Art In The Short Film "No.404"

The Canadian scholar Mc Luhan proposed that "the medium is the message",so a lot of new things have emerged based on the Internet medium.This has led to the popularization of the old style of "faulty art".The term "glitch" first appeared in 1962.The first representative work of faulty art came from Nam June Paik’s 1965 work "Magnet TV",which used a magnet to interfere with a faulty electronic signal,distorting and distorting the image in a television set,resulting in an unusual picture.This resulted in a series of faulty artworks.In this paper,we use the documentary method to collect a series of basic information about the development of "faulty art" from its development to its popularity.Then,we summarize and sort out the main artistic expressions of "faulty art";finally,we start to create and practice to produce a digital short film with faulty art style.Chapter 1,which deals with the aesthetics of faulty art,covers the entire process from its creation to its development to its expression.It is a framework of the theoretical system of "faulty art",and clarifies the direction and content to be studied.In the second chapter,the problems of "faulty art" are analyzed in the context of "digital video" as a carrier.And according to the problems,we discuss the advantages of presenting "faulty art" based on "digital video" in the new media era.In the third chapter,the author’s design work "No.404" is used to illustrate.From the selection of the subject matter,the design idea,the design theme to the design process,the author creates each one of them in practice.It shows the artistic characteristics of "faulty art" and at the same time combines with the contemporary human emotions to express innovatively and reflects the significance of communication in the new media era.The fourth chapter concludes the overall work.Taking into account the development of the times,digital video is one of the means of communication in the Internet era.The application of "faulty art" to the creation of digital short films enhances the way of communication of the works.
