Early adulthood is a very important stage for the healthy development of people’s physical and mental health.During this stage, young people, some are trying to complete their studies, and some have gone to work.According to Erickson’s theory of psychosocial development stages,During this period, the main task of the individual is to establish intimate relationships, avoid loneliness, and experience the realization of love. But only when the sense of identity is established in adolescence(12-18 years old)can good intimate relationships be developed in early adulthood(18-25 years old),otherwise loneliness will occur.Studies have pointed out that there is a significant correlation between intimacy fear and loneliness, and some studies have confirmed that intimacy fear is significantly positively correlated with identity diffusion state, and loneliness is significantly negatively correlated with acquisition state. In order to clarify the relationship between intimacy fear,self-identity and loneliness in early adulthood groups, and try to find intervention methods to reduce loneliness, the study used a questionnaire measurement method to mainly explore intimacy fear in early adulthood,The relationship between self-identity and loneliness and the mechanism of self-identity in it.The second study divided the subjects into self-revealing topic group and small talk topic group through a single-factor inter-subject design, and tested the effect of self-revealing topic content on reducing the subjects’ loneliness. The results showed that:(1)intimacy fear and loneliness in early adulthood were significantly positively correlated, intimacy fear and the four states of identity were correlated, loneliness was correlated with acquisition, delay and diffusion states, and identity acquisition and identity diffusion states played a partial mediating role between intimacy fear and loneliness;(2)Loneliness scores in the self-revealing topic group were significantly reduced before and after the intervention,as well as in the pretest and follow-up measures. To sum up,the conclusions of this study are:(1)Individuals with high intimacy fear also have a high level of loneliness, and individuals with high intimacy fear usually have not developed to the state of identity acquisition and are mostly in a diffuse state, which will enhance individual loneliness;(2)Talking about emotional topics can effectively reduce loneliness, and the effect is stable and continuous. These conclusions not only enrich or expand the theory of loneliness, but also provide an important basis for intervention in high loneliness.
