Intensive Chinese for Pre-University Students jointly prepared by Beijing Language and Culture University Press and Shandong University, will be published in2019.The series is divided into three parts: "Comprehensive Textbook","Comprehensive Exercise Book" and "Listening Textbook",of which only books 1 to 4are selected for this article. This article will only look at books 1 to 4 of the "Comprehensive Textbook".This set of textbooks is based on the current realistic needs of preparatory education and is the result of many years of research on preparatory teaching in the preparatory education base of Shandong University for international students, which has strong professionalism and authority. This paper mainly refers to the "International Chinese Language Education Chinese Level Standards",supplemented by the "HSK Examination Syllabus",and uses the "Preliminary Chinese Intensive Course Series-Comprehensive Textbooks" books 1to 4 as the object of study, using statistical analysis, documentary analysis and inductive method to carry out research.Since this set of textbooks has a separate "listening textbook",this paper only examines the vocabulary, grammar, texts, exercises and Chinese characters in the textbooks, and draws the following conclusions. From the overview of the textbook, the objectives of the textbook are clear and the teaching targets are clear, fully reflecting the "intensive teaching" model;the writing team focuses on keeping up with the times and actively develops digital online educational resources, providing quality services for the users of the textbook. The vocabulary of the textbook meets the requirements of HSK Level 4,with a reasonable arrangement of vocabulary levels, emphasis on the explanation of morphemes, and a high recurrence rate of raw words. The total amount of grammar basically meets the requirements of Level 4,with rich grammar types, detailed grammar items, and comprehensive explanations. The text is rich in genre, covers a wide range of topics,is practical and interesting, has well targeted characters, and sets reasonable situations. The number of practice questions is sufficient and the type of questions is rich, and the questions are set close to the type of HSK exam questions. At the same time,we also found some questionable areas: there is still a gap between the total vocabulary and the Grade Standard, there are more transgressive words and superlatives in Book 3 and 4,and the key vocabulary and superlatives lack labels;the recurrence rate of grammar points is low,the amount of grammar in a single lesson is large, and the grammar explanations are not focused;the distribution of text genres is uneven, and there is a lack of application texts;the questions in the mini grammar point board in Book 3 lack variability and ignore The questions in the mini-grammar point section of Book 3 lack variation and ignore the training of Chinese character writing skills. We hope to provide some reference for the use and revision of the textbook, and to provide some ideas for the preparation of similar textbooks.
