The ultimate goal of teaching Chinese as a foreign language is to cultivate students’ ability to use Chinese to communicate in real life,and the transformation of language knowledge into language ability in teaching is the link that creates gaps among learners,and it is also a link that has to be faced for a long time.As a class type that integrates teaching content such as language elements,language skills,and cultural knowledge,comprehensive courses should pay special attention to this goal.However,the characteristics of the task-based teaching method meet the requirements of student-centered teaching,and due to the recent impact of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict,online Chinese courses for Ukrainian students are sometimes limited by distance and network quality,and the participation and interaction frequency of students are limited.The task-based teaching method can better arouse students’ interest in learning.In addition,the daily communicative tasks and practical tasks also meet some students’ requirements for the practicality of Chinese learning.Therefore,this teaching method is chosen to carry out the teaching design of the intermediate comprehensive course of Chinese as a foreign language,in an effort to enhance students’ enthusiasm and exercise their ability to organize and use language independently.This thesis is divided into five chapters.The introduction part summarizes the background and significance of the research,research methods and content,and the current research status of online teaching design,laying the foundation for the follow-up research.The first chapter analyzes and researches the teaching status of the Confucius Institute at Kharkiv National University in Ukraine and the relevant elements of online teaching,which will lay a good theoretical foundation and data support for the development of the entire teaching design.The second chapter is the combing and analysis of theories related to the task-based teaching method,and the analysis of the adaptability of the theory to online Chinese teaching in Ukraine,and demonstrates its feasibility.The third chapter is based on the example of the lesson "The essence of buying but not selling" in "New Practical Chinese Reader".It carries out a teaching design of two lectures,and makes full use of the time between classes and classes to arrange a step-by-step teaching process for students.The fourth chapter analyzes the teaching results based on the practice of teaching design,summarizes the advantages and disadvantages of teaching design,reflects on the entire design process,and uses this as a basis for the online comprehensive Chinese course in Ukraine in the future Teaching suggestions.Finally,the conclusion of the fifth chapter reiterates the feasibility of the task-based teaching method in the current situation,and makes a reflection on the shortcomings of the research.
