Under the influence of the COVID-19,International Chinese Language Education continues to respond to the changes in the world environment, prompting the online Chinese language teaching business to flourish. As one of the special learning subjects, international students have lost the advantage of being experiencing the Chinese language environment firsthand, and most of them can only learn Chinese through online methods. The change of learning environment has an inevitable impact on the emotional perception and learning psychology of international students.Learning burnout is an important factor affecting students’ learning status and effectiveness, while learning self-efficacy has a positive impact on students’ learning emotions. The study on learning self-efficacy and burnout of international students in online learning is not only helpful to find out the problems of students, but also can make up for the shortcomings of online Chinese teaching and advance the better dissemination and development of online International Chinese Education. This study uses a modified version of the psychological scale and interviews to investigate the current situation of online Chinese learning self-efficacy and learning burnout among international students in Lanzhou University and to discover the interrelationship between self-efficacy and burnout. The data were analyzed by SPSS to explore the factors affecting learning self-efficacy and learning burnout, and further to make targeted suggestions. The study found that international students at Lanzhou University currently have a good sense of learning self-efficacy and are in a moderate state of burnout at the same time. There is a significant negative relationship between international students’ learning self-efficacy and learning burnout, and learning self-efficacy has an inverse predictive effect on learning burnout, which means the improvement of learning self-efficacy can reduce the degree of learning burnout of students. The factors affecting the self-efficacy of learning behaviors include the Chinese language level of international students, learning motivation, and student-student interaction in the classroom.Students’ learning motivation, classroom equipment, learning mode, assignment submission method, satisfaction with the Chinese class, and student-student interaction in the classroom have an impact on learning burnout. Therefore,we can prevent students’ learning burnout by enhancing their online learning self-efficacy,focusing on teacher-student interaction and student-student interaction in online classes.Teachers should also enhance their online teaching technology skills and choose an appropriate online teaching mode. |
