In the era of electronic Chinese language learning,international Chinese digital textbooks have become a new form of learning to support Chinese language learning in the classroom and outside the classroom.However,there has been limited research on international Chinese digital textbooks,and there is a lack of research on the practical application of this type of textbooks.This thesis will take Great Wall Chinese digital textbook as an example to explore the use of international Chinese digital textbooks in online and offline classroom teaching,their impact on teaching and learning,as well as their advantages and shortcomings,in order to provide ideas for the future development and construction of international Chinese digital textbooks,and to provide reference for teachers who want to use international Chinese digital textbooks for teaching.First,this thesis defines the concept,types and basic characteristics of international Chinese digital textbooks,and on this basis,it compares the current situation of international Chinese digital textbooks development at home and abroad.From the perspective of development quantity,the development of international Chinese digital textbooks is still dominated by China,but other countries are also actively promoting the publication of local digital textbooks;from the perspective of types of textbooks,there are more multimedia textbooks and rich media textbooks,and fewer intelligent textbooks.Second,this thesis analyzes the digital textbooks of Great Wall Chinese in detail from three aspects: overall design,internal design and application process.Then,the online and offline teaching cases using this textbook are studied,and it is found that: in the teaching process,content use mainly includes pictures,videos,examples and online exercises in the digital textbook;the function use involves presenting content,speech evaluation and instant feedback.It can be seen that the impact of international Chinese digital textbooks on Chinese language teaching is mainly reflected in two aspects: on the one hand,the textbooks introduce visual knowledge into the classroom,making the teaching content visual and intuitive;on the other hand,the textbooks integrate instructional Technology into the teaching,making the teaching format varied and interesting.In addition,the textbooks have advantages in providing teaching resources,immediate feedback on practice and language skills training,but also have shortcomings in insufficient communicative practice and a single form of interaction.Finally,in view of the study findings,this thesis attempts to make the following suggestions: First,from the perspective of improving the content of the textbooks,we propose to enhance the rigor of compiling example sentences,enrich the form of the text and strengthen the design of communicative exercises.Second,from the perspective of optimizing the functions of the textbook,we propose innovative interaction methods,optimizing the function of speech evaluation and providing offline use functions.Third,from the perspective of teachers’ use,suggestions are made to clarify the advantages of teaching materials,clarify interactive functions,strengthen teaching guidance and improve information literacy.
