Musical Analysis And Performance Study Of Prokofiev’s Four Piano Op.4

As one of the important composers and pianists of the twentieth century,Prokofiev insisted on using inheritance and innovation in the creation of musical works.He has worked in a wide range of musical genres,such as piano works,symphonies,wind works,chamber music,opera,etc.Among his many works,his piano works are the most characteristic of Prokofiev’s personal creative style and characteristics.Twentieth-century composers preferred to use modern musical expressions,but Prokofiev firmly adhered to the traditional music creation system,and his series of modern musical expressions were based on traditional harmonic functions.He composed many piano works during his lifetime,but what can be called "the epitome of piano music creation" is his 12 sets of piano pieces.Among them,the piano piece op.4 shows a variety of common creative techniques of composers,and also shows many difficult playing techniques,so this work can be described as Prokofiev’s early piano music masterpiece.Under the premise of briefly introducing the composer’s life and creative career,this article analyzes the theme melody,harmonic technique and composition structure in the four piano pieces in detail,so as to show the characteristics of Prokofiev’s music creation technique.Starting from the "percussion" playing method,rhythm,dynamics and pedal use,it accurately grasps the musical connotation and shows the musical charm of Prokofiev’s piano pieces.
