A Study On The Poetry Of Dongping Literati In The Early Yuan Dynasty

The sixty years between the extinction of Mongol gold and the death of Kublai Khan was the early stage of the development of Yuan poetry.The Dongping literati were an important group of literati in this period.They continued the study of Jin Ci,and were the main part of the literati in the later Hanlin Academy of National History.They had a great influence on the poetry circle of the Yuan Dynasty.At present,there are few researches on literati poems in Dongping.The focus of the researches is to elucidate the literary significance and influence,and there is a lack of observation on specific works.Therefore,this thesis focuses on the comprehensive and systematic study of Dongping literati poems,takes the subject matter as the standard to analyze and interpret Dongping literati poems in different categories,and expounds its overall characteristics and achievements.In addition to the introduction and the rest,this thesis is divided into five chapters:Chapter One,the composition and literary activities of Dongping literati in the early Yuan Dynasty.This chapter is divided into two sections.The first section examines the composition and trend of the literati in Dongping.The first generation of literati in Dongping is composed of the official group who entered the Yuan dynasty from the Jin Dynasty.Or enter the Hanlin Academy of National History as a writer;A few entered Kublai Khan golden lotus River after the shogunate,in the middle of the early official.Most of the second generation of Dongpyeong literati came from Dongpyeong public School,and their main tendency was to enter the Hanlin Academy of National History.The second section summarizes the literary activities of Dongping literati in the early Yuan Dynasty,mainly from three aspects of lecture and writing,travel theme painting,elegant collection and singing.Chapter two to chapter four,a comprehensive discussion of the Dongping literati poetry creation,according to the content of their poetry is divided into three parts: one,travel and landscape poetry.The literati of Dongping traveled all over the north and south,and wrote about their travel experiences and what they saw and heard during their travel and official career.According to the object of description,it can be divided into two categories: natural landscape and cultural landscape.The poems convey three different emotions,namely the pleasure of leisurely travel,the sigh of hiding and the heart of worrying about the world.The unique feature of these poems is that they attach importance to the function of enlightenment and highlight the philosophical meaning.Two,sentimental poetry.In the time of changing generation and the ups and downs of eunuch,Dongping literati created a considerable number of feelings of injury and expressing ambition,including instant sentiment,chanting things and expressing ambition,theme painting expressing ambition.This kind of poetry is the best to show the mentality of Dongping literati works,with a profound imprint of The Times,which is embodied in the feelings of homeland and the mentality of official concealment.In terms of artistic characteristics,Dongping literati’s sentimental poems have various styles and strong narrative characteristics.Three,social singing and poetry.The literati in Dongping had a wide range of social intercourse and many activities of singing and poetry,so the social singing and poetry were also an important part of their poetry creation,including singing and sending gifts,leaving farewell,congratulating and mourning.This chapter sorts out the objects of the intercourse of Dongping literati,summarizes the characteristics of the intercourse,and discusses the historical value and cultural value of the intercourse songs and poems.Chapter five,the overall characteristics of Dongping literati poetry creation.This chapter mainly includes the following three aspects: First,Zong Tang tendency,mainly reflected in the learning and inheritance of Du Fu and Li Bai.Secondly,the characteristics of good rhetoric.By comparing with the poems of Xu Heng,a scholar of justice and reason,this section shows that the literati of Dongping,as a scholar of rhetoric,are good at phrasal construction and make good use of poetic skills.Third,diversified poetry styles,specific performance is forthrightly and broad,fresh and natural,elegant and peaceful.
