Study On The Translation Of Jidi Majia’s Poetry In Foreign Countries

This paper takes Jidi Majia’s poems as the research object with the help of comparative literature translation and communication studies.Through a comprehensive and in-depth study of Jidi Majia’s poetry creation and the overseas translation,dissemination and acceptance of his poems,this paper explores the overseas dissemination channels and acceptance rules of Jidi Majia’s poems,and thus gives a glimpse of the overall situation of overseas translation,introduction and acceptance of Chinese contemporary poetry.Therefore,it provides new ideas for putting forward more practical translation strategies of contemporary Chinese poetry.Introduction provides a basic overview of Jidi Majia and his poetry,starting with a textual analysis that summarizes the poet’s creative process and ideological shift since the 1980 s.The chapter also reviews literature on domestic research into Jidi Majia’s poetry over the past 40 years,presenting a literature review.Chapter One mainly discusses the overseas translation of Jidi Majia’s poetry,examining the poet’s 36-year "going out" process of poetry,foreign translations and publications,overseas library collections,and summarizing the characteristics and causes of Jidi Majia’s poetry’s overseas translation.Chapter Two details Jidi Majia’s poetry in English translation,analyzing the English translations and translators using comparative literature and translation theory to evaluate Jidi Majia’s poetry’s English translation text and compare the gains and losses of Chinese and English translators.Chapter Three evaluates the overseas reception of Jidi Majia’s poetry,using communication and reader acceptance theories to analyze how foreign scholars and readers perceive Jidi Majia’s poetry,examine the reasons,content,degree,and characteristics of their acceptance,assess Jidi Majia and his poetry’s influence overseas and provide recommendations for promoting Jidi Majia’s poetry in the future.In conclusion,the paper summarizes the study and identifies theoretical and practical issues in the translation and dissemination of Jidi Majia’s poetry that require further investigation.
