| The translation project comes from the Department of Otolaryngology in Mianyang Central Hospital.The author translates Auditory Processing Disorder(APD)Identification,Diagnosis and Strategies(chapter1-3).This material records the clinical cases and treatment methods of Auditory Processing Disorder.At present,foreign countries have issued a lot of diagnosis and intervention guidelines for the diagnosis and treatment of APD.However,there is little relevant literature and data in China.Therefore,the translation of this material has a certain guiding significance for the medical staff in Mianyang Central Hospital.Based on the “Comprehension,Expression and Adaptation”(CEA)framework established by Professor Li Changshuan,the author classifies the complex issues in translation.Under the guidance of Newmark’s Text Typology,this author takes communicative translation and semantic translation as the main translation strategies and explores the translation strategies and methods of informative text.In the part of“comprehension”,the author uses background information and context to solve word problems to help understand the source text.In the part of “expression”,the author uses the skills of converting the passive voice,adjusting the word order and splitting long sentences to ensure fluency of the language.As for “adaptation”,the author uses amplification and omission to edit and process the information of the source text.In general,semantic translation is mainly used for the translation of terminology and proper nouns.Communicative translation is used to adjust sentence structure and logical relations.The purpose of informative text translation is to convey content,so the accuracy of the content should be emphasized in translation.The translation practice aims to provide a high-quality translation for the medical staff in the the Department of Otolaryngology in Mianyang Central Hospital and reference for the translation of informative text. |
