Elgar,a great composer in the history of British music in the 20 th century,his Violin Concerto in B minor is one of the most influential violin concertos of the 20 th century and his only violin concerto,but it stands out in the genre works of the same era and has achieved a very high status.It is a rare violin concerto in British music history.This article analyses the structural framework,creative highlights,playing skills and key points of the first movement of the work from the perspective of actual performance in the author’s repeated practice and continuous summary,combined with the composer’s experience and writing background.I hope that through this research,I can have a deeper understanding of the work and the author,get more inspiration in skills,and get a new way to interpret the work.
