With the continuous progress and development of the times and industry,adult animated films designed for adult audiences have gradually enriched from scratch,and the cultural value brought by its aesthetic and narrative characteristics has gradually been valued by the public and the market.As an independent animated feature film director in China,Liu Jian showed the audience the social pain points and darkness of human nature rarely touched in domestic animated films in his two works "Piercing I" and "Have a Nice Day",and created the precedent of "domestic black animated feature film" by himself.Although Liu Jian’s animation shows sharp realistic content,it is different from typical realistic animation films with strong stylized features.His strong stylized features are not only reflected in the formal style level,but also in the strong animation reflexive features.This paper attempts to call Liu Jian’s realistic style "stylized realism",by exploring how his stylized expression fits with the realistic content,it can achieve the stinging effect of exposing human nature and criticizing current events,and at the same time,with a wider view,to compare and analyze it with domestic and foreign realism animation,and exploring the positive significance of Liu Jian’s stylized treatment for the development of domestic realism animation.The first part of this paper mainly expounds the relationship between animation and reality on the theoretical basis,and discriminates the two concepts of "realism in animation" and "realism animation".By combing the development of realism in Chinese traditional literary theory,the conceptual characteristics of typical realistic animation are extracted.According to these typical characteristics,we will examine whether Liu Jian’s animation conforms to the concept of realistic animation from its subject matter.In the second part,through a detailed discussion on the artistic texture of Liu Jian’s animation,such as defamiliarization,metaphor and sound design,it is further determined that Liu Jian’s animation with strong stylized and personalized color,strictly speaking,does not belong to the category of traditional realistic artistic style.The third part further analyzes the basic logic of the generation of Liu Jian’s stylized realism of animation,and points out that the important individual mark of Liu Jian’s stylized characteristics of animation-animation reflexivity.Liu Jian’s animation shows a strong reflexivity through the artist’s image,participation in dubbing and other means of expression,and resists the popular creative paradigm of commercial animation with a distinct meta-animation consciousness,thus arousing the audience’s attention and thinking about the relationship between its animated film text and reality.In the last part of this paper,based on all of Liu Jian’s paintings and animation works,examines the reasons for the formation of realism complex and stylized realism in Liu Jian’s animation in the macro era background,and explores the successful experience beneficial to the development of domestic realistic animation in the future in the comparative analysis.Liu Jian opens up the animation style dimension with strong subjectivity,experiment and artistry,and explores more possibilities of realism expressed by animation medium with "animation that is not so animated".He takes the lead in exploring a possible development path for domestic realistic animation and adult animation that lacks classification system and is bound by commercial environment.
