This study,based on the existing literature and relevant research results at home and abroad,is based on the "double reduction" policy,based on the investigation of the current situation of homework in JX Primary School in Lechang City,finds out the problems in the management of English homework in primary schools,analyzes the causes of the problems,and tries to provide feasible English homework optimization management strategies and implementation ways for primary and secondary school teachers and school administrators,and improve the quality of homework,Improve teachers’ homework management ability,improve students’ learning quality and self-management ability.The paper uses the literature research method,questionnaire method and interview method to carry out empirical investigation and research,mainly questionnaire survey,supplemented by interview.Through the questionnaire survey method,the current situation survey was carried out from the five aspects of teachers,students and parents’ cognition of homework,homework design,arrangement,homework evaluation feedback and homework management subject.The problems found in the survey were as follows:first,on the students’ side,the understanding of the purpose and role of homework was not clear,and the lack of homework initiative;Rely heavily on teachers and parents;Lack of guidance from scientific methods;Lack of timeliness and initiative of operation feedback;Students lack the right to participate in homework design and arrangement,and their awareness of homework self-management is weak.Secondly,for teachers,homework design ignores students’ interests;The amount of homework is estimated incorrectly,and the speed and efficiency of students completing homework are judged incorrectly;The main body of arrangement work is single;Evaluation language lacks humanistic care;No effective measures have been taken to cultivate students’ ability of independent management of homework.Finally,in the aspect of parents,parents have a bias in understanding the purpose of homework;Pay less attention to the process and quality of children’s homework,and rely heavily on teachers and training institutions;The extra increment of parents increases the pressure of children’s homework.Based on the survey results,the author puts forward corresponding improvement strategies from the aspects of job cognition,job assignment,job design,job evaluation and feedback,and job management subject: first,update the job concept,and correctly understand the purpose and function of the job;Second,enrich the content of homework,innovate the design of homework,and enhance students’ interest;Third,teachers of all disciplines should fully coordinate and communicate with each other,and arrange appropriately and hierarchically;Fourth,multiple evaluation and in-depth feedback;Fifth,clarify the responsibility of the main body and create a multi-agent linkage management mechanism.
