English homework is an effective way of testing the English output of second language learners,as well as an effective way of testing the effectiveness of students’ learning in the classroom on a daily basis.For a long time,English homework has been overburdened and its content is sporadic and scattered.The function of homework is seriously alienated and its design is too simple and basic to stimulate primary school students’ interests in learning English.It is clear that the design of English homework for primary school students should be changed under the “double reduction” policy.The research methods are literature analysis,questionnaire,interview and experiment.The paper first analyses the current situation of traditional English homework for primary school students,and then conducts a study on the design of primary school English homework under the “double reduction” policy and puts forward a series of strategies for improvement.This thesis is divided into six parts:The first part is the introduction,which introduces the research background,purpose and significance.The second part is the literature review,which mainly defines the relevant concepts,combs the relevant theoretical basis,and summarizes the domestic and overseas research status.The third part is the research design,which mainly introduces the research questions,research objectives,research methods and specific research implementation process.The fourth part is data analysis and discussion.This part mainly elaborates on the research problems proposed in this paper,and sorts out and analyzes the research results.The fifth part puts forward the concept and strategy of optimal design of English homework for primary school students according to the “double reduction” policy and the characteristics of English subjects,combined with the English curriculum criteria for primary school.The sixth part is the conclusion,which mainly introduces the main findings of this study,and describes the limitations and the prospects of future research.To sum up,this study reveals the shortcomings of traditional homework,discusses the effectiveness of English homework design for primary school students under the background of “double reduction”,and proposes a series of solutions according to the differences in primary school students’ cognitive level,so as to effectively reduce the heavy homework burden of students,meet their personalized needs,and more effectively play the educational function of homework. |
