Since the outbreak of COVID-19 in late 2019,offline teaching has been affected,while online teaching has developed rapidly,as has overseas online Chinese teaching.As an essential part of the overseas online Chinese learning group,heritage students have received more and more attention in international Chinese education research.From the papers on Chinese teaching for heritage students of Chinese origin retrieved from knowledge service platforms such as CNKI and Wanfang Data,online interaction research on overseas heritage students has been gradually enriched in recent years.Still,the teaching interaction in these studies is primarily one-to-one teaching interaction,which is relatively simple.Based on the author’s teaching experience,this paper adopts case analysis,classroom observation,and other research methods to study the teaching interaction of overseas heritage students in a one-to-many online Chinese classroom and explores feasible strategies to improve the effectiveness of teaching interaction.According to the problems found in the process of pinyin,Chinese characters,and culture teaching in the author’s early teaching practice,combined with classroom observation,the author analyzes the characteristics of students’ teaching interaction and the tendency of multiple intelligences,explores the causes of the problems,adjusts the teaching interaction according to this,and makes a preliminary solution to the issues and applies it to practice.The author adopts the case analysis method to explore the solution’s correctness and feasibility by analyzing the teaching interaction before and after the implementation of the solution.Finally,the author obtains some strategies to improve the effectiveness of interactive teaching from the perspectives of pinyin,Chinese characters,and culture,extracts the commonalities among the methods,and summarizes the following strategies to improve the effectiveness of interactive teaching for online Chinese children: 1.Give full consideration to the characteristics of students’ teaching interaction and carry out targeted design for online teaching interaction2.Enrich the types of online teaching interaction and refine the process of teaching interaction;3.Enhance the interest in teaching interaction.
