The Japanese armed intervention in Soviet Russia was a major event in the history of relations between the two countries.It took place towards the end of the First World War.Since the end of 1917,there have been debates in Japan about the scope,number,excuse,and method of Japanese military intervention in Soviet Russia.There were two most important arguments,the so-called " separate military intervention " and the " joint military intervention ",The result was that the " joint military intervention " argument won out.This paper analyses the process of this decision.This paper is divided into three parts: introduction,body and conclusion.The body includes the second,third,fourth and fifth chapters.The first chapter is the introduction,which introduces the research object,research significance,research status at home and abroad,methods,ideas,innovation and shortcomings of this paper.The second chapter explore the historical background of Japan’s armed intervention in Soviet Russia.The pattern of international relations in Northeast Asia was reshaped by the outbreak of WWI.Russia’s political system was changed,and it was plunged into civil war,and its power was severely weakened;Japan and the United States were rapidly gaining power,but the conflict between them was deepening.The third chapter explore the ideas of the representatives of the Japanese military and political circles who hold the " separate military intervention " theory.The fourth chapter explore the ideas of the representatives of the Japanese military and political circles who hold the " joint military intervention " theory.The fifth chapter briefly analyzes the process of and reasons for the victory of the " joint military intervention ".The last part is the conclusion.
