Between The Future And The Reality

The new generation of science fiction is an essential part of Chinese science fiction literature.The new generation of science fiction has broken through the traditional opinion that the purpose of science fiction is to popularize scientific knowledge,and then revealed the writer’s opinion to return to science fiction itself since the 1990s.It shows the unique characteristics in the science fiction literature field.It shows important research value.Currently,global interconnectedness presents an important feature of the human community with a shared future.The rapid development of intelligent technology has brought a major leap in world technological civilization.The emerging human issues and the new situation of technological development require new thinking based on the holistic view of human beings.The new generation of science fiction initiatively expresses the thinking of the times and the holistic concern for the fate of mankind and adherence to the characteristics of the times to provide a unique perspective for the future of science and technology to imagine the future.With the impact of western science fiction literature,which is focusing on human beings and reflecting on human civilization,the new generation of science fiction writers with suffering consciousness and the spirit of reflection wrote down their anxieties about ‘the human holistic issue’ and ‘technophobia’,and expressed profound reflections with foresight and uniqueness.The current needs of the times and the conscious writing of the new generation of science fiction on human issues constitute an interactive trend,which greatly improves the urgency of solving the problem of intervening in the research of the new generation of science fiction from the perspective of the times,and provides an excellent opportunity to explore the problem in depth.By reading the works of Liu Cixin,Wang Jinkang,Han Song,and He Xi,using theories of Utopia and post-human narrative,combined with the writer’s thinking and creation of science fiction,this paper studied science fiction from the perspective of the times and explores the new-generation science fiction’s attention and reflection on the holistic problems of mankind between the future and reality.First of all,this paper explores the writing of the new generation of science fiction on the future of mankind from the predictions of the future of mankind by ‘Utopia’.It analyzes the new generation of science fiction in the future imagination on how human beings view the universe,how to face the universe,and how to face the post-human as ‘the other’,understanding its call to break the ‘anthropocentrism’ and face the future prudently.Secondly,this paper explores the writing of the new generation of science fiction on the problems of human reality from the consideration of the practical problems by‘science fiction realism’.It analyzes the new generation science fiction’s examination of global social problems with the imagination of future human disasters and crises,as well as its writing of Chinese contemporary history and current problems and its unique reflection on the future image of China with suffering consciousness and the spirit of reflection,understanding its thinking on how humans can better face the reality and move into the future.Finally,this paper explores the reflective spirit and deconstructive perspective of the new generation of science fiction throughout its creation to reflect on the existence of ‘human beings’ in the era of science and technology and the deconstruction of human civilization,and explores the profound contradictions of its inherent anxiety and human concern.In this way,we will gain a deeper understanding of the creative connotation,reflective spirit and contemporary characteristics of the new generation of science fiction,examine its unique thinking and Chinese characteristics in reflecting on current social issues,the complex relationship between the individual and the universe,and that between human and technology,further enrich the study of the new generation of science fiction,and explore its ideological connotation and the value of the times.
