Pursuing the good life is an enduring topic in human society. With the establishment of subject rationality, freedom has become the theme of ethical life. However,a good life dominated by individuals often limits its goals to material pursuits and ignores the meaning of life.In the field of philosophical knowledge, moral theories, which is devoted to the determination of individual rules of conduct, compress the rich dimensions of life, and are increasingly powerless to deal with ethical life.In this context,Virtue ethics,in which people are the moral and life subjects,is enjoying a renaissance. This paper attempts to study Aristotle’s concept of eudaimonia from the perspective of the path of logic generation, presenting its vitality and practical characteristics.Taking "the concept of Eudaimonia " as the research object, one is to understand the connotation and stipulation of " Eudaimonia " given by Aristotle by sorting out the internal logic of the concept, and the other is to focus on the overall life as its external manifestation,it takes care of virtue and establishes the value of virtue activities. The concept of eudaimonia is Aristotle’s criticism and response to Socrates’ and Plato’s pursuit of Goodness. From the perspective of internal rationale," Eudaimonia",which is the unity of " good as end " and " good as function ",acts as a bridge between cognition and practice of the world. It is not only the ultimate end of life, but also the "highest good" pursued by action.Contemplation helps us aim at the goal and direction of our life as a whole, and provides the conscious construction and active planning of life through practical reason, while desire moves toward the goal through the observance of logos. Therefore, pure intellectual activity, the activity of desire in accordance with logos, are the two aspects of the concept of eudaimonia. On the whole, eudaimonia centered on life is a rectification of the rational self-sufficient way of life pursued by Socrates and Plato. The relationship between eudaimonia and a specific historical and cultural background(historical),with the city-state community(sociality),and with individual self-realization(individuality),reveals the two-way road of philosophy and politics: philosophers can descend to the city-state,use rationality educating politics, helping citizens to be good, and realizing the decline from contemplative life to ethical life;citizens can also realize self-improvement by practicing virtue or thinking constantly, and see the light of wisdom.Facing the life world, returning to Aristotle’s concept of eudaimonia is conducive to rebuilding normative understanding of eudaimonia in contemporary times, and regards eudaimonia not only as a moral code that regulates individual behavior, but also as the value pursuit and self-esteem of individual life. The active construction of life leads us to always move towards a good life.
