With the proposal of the idea of educational modernization,a series of reforms of innovative teaching methods have been launched in the field of education and teaching at home.Compulsory Education English Curriculum Standard(2022 Edition)put forward the curriculum concept of promoting the deep integration of information technology and English teaching,which promotes the further deepening of English teaching reform.In order to gain a comprehensive understanding of the application of modern educational technology in junior high school English teaching and give full play to the positive role of modern educational technology in improving the quality of English teaching,the author aims to answer the following questions through this study:(1)What is the current situation of the application of modern educational technology in junior high school English teaching?(2)What problems exist in the application of modern educational technology in junior high school English teaching? What are the reasons for these problems?(3)How to realize the optimization of junior high school English teaching by using modern educational technology?Under the guidance of constructivism theory and teaching process optimization theory,this paper combines The Standard of Teacher’s Ability of Applying Information Technology in Primary and Secondary Schools and previous related research results.Firstly,the author conducted a questionnaire survey on 150 English teachers in Heilongjiang Province to understand the application of modern educational technology in junior high school English teaching as a whole;secondly,in order to ensure the reliability of the research results,the author conducted a questionnaire survey and interviews with 300 students and 6 English teachers in the internship school respectively.Finally,the research results are analyzed by SPSS27.0 software.The details are as follows:(1)The application of modern educational technology in junior high school English teaching is not ideal.(2)Problems: The quality of modern educational equipment used in schools for teaching English is not sufficiently advanced and there is a lack of scientific and advanced training mechanisms in modern educational technology for English teachers;English teachers lack the awareness and ability to apply modern educational technology scientifically in teaching.(3)Reasons: Junior high schools pay insufficient attention to the application of modern educational technology in English teaching;English teachers lack professional theoretical knowledge and practical ability of modern educational technology.Based on the above analysis and findings,in order to solve the problems encountered by English teachers in applying modern educational technology to teaching,and to better realize the optimization of English teaching,the author puts forward the following suggestions to junior high schools and English teachers respectively.Firstly,junior high schools should introduce advanced equipment suitable for English teaching according to the characteristics of the English subject;at the same time,junior high schools should provide advanced training on theoretical and practical knowledge of modern educational technology for English teachers in a timely manner;secondly,English teachers should raise awareness of application of modern educational technology in teaching,and correctly choose and scientifically use modern educational technology according to teaching practice to optimize English teaching. |
