| English listening plays an important role in English learning.“Listening” is not only an important way to obtain and understand information but a basic ability of communicating.The improvement of listening can be conductive to improve the ability of speaking,reading and writing,in addition,it also promote the conduct of language communicative activities.Therefore,in order to improve the junior high school students’ English listening further,the author applied the Bloom’s taxonomy of educational objectives---cognitive domain to listening teaching,and designed the teaching objectives and methods of listening knowledge,hope to have a positive impact on students’ listening in junior high school.In order to test the validity of the new teaching model,the author selected 95 students from two parallel classes in the second year of junior high school in Dezhou for teaching experiment.Before the experiment,the author sent out questionnaires to the students and interviewed English teachers to learn about the main factor affecting students’ learning.And the students were covertly stratified according to pretest scores.Then the author designed teaching activities based on Bloom’s cognitive objectives.After the experiment,students from the two classes were tested again.SPSS was used to analyze the data of the pre-test and the post-test,and the students were surveyed by a questionnaire and interview to analyze the validity of the new teaching method.The paper aims to answer three questions based on the study:(1)Can Bloom’s taxonomy of educational objectives applied to listening teaching improve student’s attitude towards English listening?(2)Can the new teaching method improve students’ listening?(3)If the new teaching method can improve students’ listening,which kind of students is influenced significantly? The comprehensive analysis shows that: the application of Bloom’s taxonomy of educational objectives in English listening teaching in junior high school can improve students’ attitude towards listening;the application of Bloom’s taxonomy of educational objectives in listening teaching can improve students’ listening;listening ability of students who are from B and C layer can be improved most dramatically.At last,the author brings up some advice and explore new ideas for English listening teaching.Although there are some shortcomings in the research,they would be further improved in the future. |
