With the progress and development of science and technology,people can create images through smart phones,computers,multimedia and other media,and understand the world through the dissemination of information.Images have penetrated into all corners of our lives.The cognitive function of painting is about to be replaced by modern media.Images can be displayed more intuitively and conveniently in front of people.Traditional painting,especially concrete painting,is facing great challenges.We should comply with the requirements of the times and face the arrival of the media era in a more leisurely way,which is both a challenge and an opportunity.Through the direct and indirect use of images to complete their own painting creation,and implant new painting language and ideas in contemporary concrete painting.This paper mainly discusses the image characteristics in the language of contemporary figurative painting.Taking the artist Adrian Gurney as an example,this paper creates valuable paintings through the characteristics of the image itself and the use of image media.Graphics provide the role of characters’ identity politics,memory history,visual effect and cultural characteristics.Historical and political figures often appear in Adrian Gurney’s works,and he uses image resolution,the fuzziness of characters’ faces and bold strokes to endow the cold image with emotional artistic expression.Further provide experience and directional guidance for the author’s own creation.This paper studies the characteristics of image in the language of contemporary figurative painting.The author studies this subject by sorting out the context of art history and combining the viewpoint of philosophical speculation.Through case analysis,the author collects the artist’s materials such as books,interviews and video introduction,analyzes and summarizes his works,discusses the artist’s selection of images and the processing of artistic language in artistic creation,and brings the author more painting perspectives to form his own unique painting language and artistic concept.This paper is mainly divided into five parts: the first part is the introduction,which mainly expounds the research content,research object,related concepts of image,as well as the purpose and significance of the research;The second part is the time sequence,which combs the context of the emergence and development of imaging features.The third part analyzes the characteristics of visualization through the vertical analysis of artist Adrian gurney,mainly from two aspects.The first aspect is to analyze the image itself from the characteristics of identity,memory,vision and culture;The second aspect discusses how to deal with the creative techniques of images,mainly from the effect of image resolution and blur,image replacement and reconstruction,and writing strokes.The fourth part explores the image characteristics with its own creative practice,and combs the steps of painting creation;The fifth part is the conclusion,which combs and summarizes the relationship between the inheritance of art history and the prospect of imaging. |
