As a continuation of the splendid and magnificent ancient Silk Road,the Belt and Road is also a major strategic backdrop for China.It bridges the gap between cultures and ideas from all over the world to learn from each other.Dunhuang culture is a treasure of China’s 5,000 years of splendid culture,an important treasure to strengthen national centripetal force,a secret weapon to enhance China’s cultural confidence and national pride,and an excellent culture to promote cultural exchange between East and West.The international situation today is treacherous,and we are in the midst of a great change that has not been seen in a century.In the context of One Belt One Road,it is important to take advantage of the momentum of the times and ride the wave of change to expand our circle of friends.In the process of spreading Dunhuang culture,we should strengthen our awareness of Dunhuang culture and take the initiative to set the agenda of Dunhuang culture;connect Chinese and foreign cultural and educational resources to realise the vision of Dunhuang culture walking across the border;build a new composite foreign communication matrix to enrich the content of Dunhuang culture;establish an international open vision,explore the unique aesthetic and artistic connotations of Dunhuang culture,and make it a part of both Eastern and Western cultures.This study is divided into four chapters,with Chapter 1 focusing on the cultural heritage of Dunhuang.This study consists of four chapters,the first of which focuses on the background of the Belt and Road initiative and the connotations of Dunhuang culture.The first chapter summarized the historical changes of the Belt and Road,the definition of Dunhuang culture,its development history and its dissemination.Chapter 2 analyses the foundations and conditions for the dissemination of Dunhuang culture in the context of the Belt and Road.The advantages and characteristics of the Dunhuang cultural dissemination path and the main components of the path are analysed in terms of policy leadership and cultural foundations.Chapter 3 presents an analysis of the current situation of Dunhuang culture dissemination in the context of the Belt and Road,and analyses how Dunhuang culture is selected and expressed through case studies,as well as identifying problems in the dissemination process.The fourth chapter is a proposal for optimising the dissemination path of Dunhuang culture in the context of "One Belt,One Road".The prerequisites and problems of the dissemination path of Dunhuang culture can be derived from the previous study,and the organic improvement of the technical path,content path,talent path and cooperation path can be carried out from the overall national strategy.This is a good example of how to ensure that Dunhuang culture can play a role in social mobilisation,organisational structure and information bridging in the dissemination process.Finally,it is concluded that better communication media can be used to demonstrate cultural confidence,enhance cultural identity,reconstruct cultural content,achieve multi-dimensional communication,and better tell the Dunhuang story and spread the Dunhuang voice.
