| Interpersonal adaptation is a kind of positive social behavior,which contributes to the physical and mental development of individuals.College students are in a special stage of development,their mental health and the cultivation of good behavior should be paid enough attention.Proactive personality is an important personality trait,which affects the cognition and behavior of college students.To some extent,college students’ proactive personality plays a role in interpersonal adaptation.Self-disclosure is a way to promote interpersonal communication,which is conducive to the production of individual positive emotions and achieve better interpersonal adaptation.Therefore,college students with proactive personality are willing to use self-disclosure for interpersonal adaptation.This study explores the chain mediating effect of self-disclosure and positive emotion on proactive personality and interpersonal adaptation,and provides theoretical reference for promoting the interpersonal adaptation of college students according to the influence mechanism of proactive personality,self-disclosure and positive emotion on interpersonal adaptation.Therefore,based on previous studies on the correlation between variables,this study adopted the Proactive Personality Scale,Self-Disclosure Scale,Positive Emotion Scale and Interpersonal Adjustment Scale to conduct a questionnaire survey among 512 college students in a university in Guangdong Province,and used SPSS26.0 to conduct descriptive statistics,independent sample t test,one-way analysis of variance and correlation analysis.The mediation is verified using the Process macro.The following conclusions are drawn:(1)There are demographic differences in proactive personality,self-disclosure,positive emotion and interpersonal adaptation;(2)Proactive personality,self-disclosure,positive emotion and interpersonal adaptation of college students are significantly positively correlated;(3)Proactive personality of college students positively predicts interpersonal adaptation,and college students with high proactive personality are more likely to have better interpersonal adaptation;(4)Self-disclosure plays a mediating role between proactive personality and interpersonal adaptation;(5)The positive emotion plays an intermediary role in the relationship between proactive personality and interpersonal adaptation;(6)Self-disclosure and positive emotion of college students had a chain mediating effect between proactive personality and positive emotion;This study has further enriched the theoretical knowledge of the interpersonal adaptation and proactive personality in college students,and the results have certain references for how proactive personality in college students promotes self-disclosure,improves the experience of positive emotions in college students,and cultivates good interpersonal adaptation.To be specific,college students should look at interpersonal communication problems rationally and take the initiative to change the status quo instead of passively waiting for help from others,appropriately use self-disclosure to strengthen the connection with others,improve their positive emotions,form a good interpersonal relationship and promote interpersonal adaptation. |
