A Report On The C-E Escort Interpreting For The International Conference On Salt-affected Soils

Escort interpretation has always been an important branch of interpretation services,including business escort and travel escort.It is indispensable in various international conferences,business visits,cross-border travels and other scenarios.This report is written on the basis of escort interpretation in the 2022 International Conference on Salt-affected Soils in which the author participated,and aims to explore the selection and application of escort interpretation strategies under the guidance of the triangular model of Interpretive Theory.This report is divided into five parts.The first part is the task description,which includes the background information of the interpretation practice and the requirements of the entruster.The second part is the process description,which mainly includes the pre-interpretation preparation,task process and post-interpretation review.The third part is the theoretical framework of this paper,which briefly introduces the connotation and development of Interpretive Theory,including the triangular model of Interpretive Theory,and its application in escort interpretation.The fourth part is a case study,which analyzes the application of the triangular model of Interpretive Theory at lexical level,syntactical level and textual level,so as to explore the specific interpretation strategies and methods used in the case.Through the typical case studies,the author summarized interpretation strategies such as “amplification”,“omission” and “sentence linearity”.The fifth part is the conclusion,in which the author summarized the findings and shortcomings of the study,with a view to summarizing and reflecting on the interpretation practice and better guiding escort interpretation practice in the future.
