Exploring The Artistic Characteristics Of The Creation And Performance Of Contemporary Sheng Works

With the flourishing of contemporary Sheng music arts,many Sheng works with modern style have emerged.The Sheng concerto,"Sheng Hua Evol",is composed by the eminent composer Mr.Luo Maishuo.This composition has two versions,composed for Sheng & symphonic orchestra and for Sheng & piano respectively.This paper takes the piano version of "Sheng Hua Evol" as the main object of study,to explore the artistic characteristics of the composition and performance of contemporary Sheng works in the areas of style,composition techniques and performance practice.The Sheng Concerto "Sheng Hua Evol" is a new artistic work with contemporary characteristics.It uses the pan-tonal and multi-tonal pitch organization method based on the core tonal rhythm,with rich texture,complex sequences and dynamic flow;The work is difficult to perform,as it is replete with unconventional fingering,breathing methods and a repertoire of Sheng techniques.The purpose of this paper is to organize the composition techniques of the Sheng Concerto "Sheng Hua Evol" and give corresponding solutions by analyzing the different types of problems and characteristics encountered in its performance;Translate the practical experiences into theoretical text.This allows the artist to put forward suggestions on the mastery of the style and performance skills,analyze and extract the characteristics and developing trends of contemporary Sheng art,and provide academic significance and reference value for the creation and performance of contemporary Sheng music arts.
