How To Portray A Character In A Musical

‘Light Keepers ’,an original environmental small-scale musical produced by Amazing Musicals,began its residency at Star Space 9 Whale Theater on June 2,2021,and has been performed for nearly two years and more than 500 performances.The author has the honor to play the roles of The keeper and Wein in the play,which has been performed more than 150 times.During the two months of rehearsal and two years of performance,the author has conducted a lot of research and practice on the characterization of The keeper.Therefore,this paper will use the theory of characterization and the steps of characterization and musical theater singing techniques as tools to study the role of Light Keepers and The keeper,and combine my performance experience to explain the characterization of musical theater actors.
