The year 2020 began with a global outbreak of Covid,which affected all walks of life due to the closure control.In schools around the world,online teaching has become the norm.The interpretation practice is based on an online lecture delivered at Shandong University of Finance and Economics when universities in Jinan closed their campuses and implemented online teaching due to the recurring epidemic in the fall of 2022.The report analyzes the interpreting practice from the perspective of Skopos theory.It consists of five parts: the first part describes the interpretation task;the second part introduces three stages of the interpretation practice;the third part focuses on Skopos theory;the fourth part analyzes the typical problems encountered in the interpretation practice,such as high informative density,information redundancy and unclear logic,and discusses the translation strategies and solutions adopted under the guidance of Skopos theory,such as note-taking,omission and explicitness;the fifth part mainly summarizes the author’s experience in the interpretation practice and suggestions for future interpretation practice.The interpretation practice is a valuable experience.By reviewing the whole process,the interpreter finds that the Skopos theory can effectively guide the interpretation.She hopes that her interpreting skills will be improved in the future and her practice will serve as a reference for other interpreters and scholars.
