A Post-Editing Report On The English-Chinese Translation Of "Sustainable And Smart Mobility Strategy"

“Smart transportation and green travel” has gradually come into public view.Other countries’ sustainable transportation strategies can provide reference for Chinese researchers and policy makers to promote the construction of low-carbon transportation in China.Therefore,the accurate translation of “Sustainable and Smart Mobility Strategy” is of strategic and practical significance.This report is based on the English-Chinese machine translation post-editing cases of the “Sustainable and Smart Mobility Strategy” released by the European Commission.Guided by the Communicative Translation Theory,the report found that the inaccuracies in the machine translation are mainly at lexical level,so the translator employs the case analysis and does post editing work at nouns,verbs,adjectives,and functional words in the text.For different types of vocabulary,the report adopts different translation methods,such as combination,separation,addition,extension,word order adjustment,inversion,and reversion,to make the translation easier for readers to understand.It is hoped that this translation report can provide reference for the English-Chinese translation of relevant texts.
