Research On Chinese Calligraphy Teaching For Overseas Chinese Learners

Since the reform and opening up,China’s international status has steadily climbed.The international Chinese teaching business,a great national cause,has developed rapidly in recent years,and more and more people around the world have begun to learn Chinese.Chinese calligraphy,as the most representative art form of Chinese cultural heritage,is very popular among overseas Chinese learners.The main contents of the study on teaching Chinese calligraphy to overseas Chinese learners are: first,an overview of Chinese calligraphy from three aspects: the definition of Chinese calligraphy,the origin and development of Chinese calligraphy,and the main points of the artistic theory of Chinese calligraphy.Secondly,the dialectical relationship between Chinese calligraphy and teaching Chinese as a foreign language is discussed in depth.Then,taking the Confucius Institute of Chinese Medicine at Peculiar University as an example,we discuss in depth the curriculum orientation and teaching implementation of its calligraphy class.Again,we summarize the problems of their calligraphy classes: the lack of attention to calligraphy classes,the lack of scientific calligraphy teaching materials,the weakness of calligraphy teachers,and the imperfect teaching system of calligraphy classes.Next,based on the problems and shortcomings of their calligraphy class teaching,strategies are proposed to improve their calligraphy class teaching in terms of calligraphy class teaching materials,teacher quality,extracurricular outreach,and dissemination paths.Finally,a complete teaching design for Chinese calligraphy classes is developed in four aspects: the design of teaching objectives,the selection of teaching contents,the observance of teaching principles,and the selection of teaching methods,in order to improve the current situation of calligraphy classes at the Confucius Institute of Chinese Medicine at Peculiar University,and to provide a reference for the development of calligraphy classes in other countries.Figure 28;Reference 64...
